Please Pray for Brody!!
I want to take a moment to ask each of you to pray for Brody Johnson! Brody experienced a near drowning. His little body is going through a lot right now. Please pray for Brody and his family!! Currently, Brody is in China getting medical attention. He is from north GA! Please check out Brody's site. Just click here!!
So...Where Have I Been?
Okay...so if you are a regular follower you probably are wondering where have I been? Well, as most of you know, due to the fact that you are constantly late to work or the fact that it takes 15 minutes now to get through town it is planting season here in south GA! It is definitely in full bloom!! I can't believe all the tractors I have gotten behind this week!! I just laughed to myself because it seemed I was trying to run them over just to get to my tractor! Isn't that what you call ironic?
Anyway...I don't know who has lost more of his/her mind...my husband or me... He has decided to let me plant cotton for him this season! I tell you if it hasn't been one thing it has been another! Flat tires, missing parts, messed up hoppers...but somehow it gets done right...Praise the Good Lord!!
I am loving seeing the cotton start to "pop" up!!

Here's a Hint:If It's Got Legs It Can Kick!!
A Real Attact Dog Wouldn't You Say?
Okay...so something that totally annoys me!!
When I was a little kid my mom used to tell me not to touch other people's dogs or animals!! (unless given the permission)
I can't believe all the crazy moms (and dads) who bring their kids by the cattle barn at the fair and push their stroller right up behind a 1300 lb. steer. They have out the camera and are saying "look little Joey it's a big bull..do you want to touch him...how cute... Most of the time I have to admit I would love for the steer just to take a big old poop on them (not the baby just the parents) ... I mean get REAL!! Their kid needs on a sign that says "I am with stupid, Rescue me.!"
If it's got legs... IT CAN KICK!!! Even if it usually doesn't!!
(It only gets better when they ask if they can milk the that bull, which is actually a steer....but that is a WHOLE other lesson...)

God's Blessings Overflow....
Not often at our house do we sit down and watch a movie at our home, even though it is one of my favorite things to do! However, tonight my husband, children and I watched a movie that we borrowed from our pastor. I am sure that most of you saw the Fireproof movie and Facing the Giants; however, I had never even heard of Flywheel, which is the first movie the church in Albany, GA produced!
This movie was about a man who hadn’t always lived in God’s plan. This man began to see his wrong ways and realized that he needed to do as the Lord called him to do! This movie really impacted me because I realized that I don’t always live as God desires me to live. Even though I am a Christian and believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior there have been many times where I allowed my temperature and anger to get the best of me. There have been occasions where I have said things or done things that God disapproved of and I know it was wrong. If I ever wronged any of you I am sorry and hope you will find it in our heart to forgive me.
I pray that in the future God will help me to live in his purpose and plan, that my heart will be open, and my mouth will be shut (hahaha). I think God for all he has done for me! His gifts are far more than I deserve and his blessing overflow on me! May we always put the Lord first and honor him!!
(In the show ring and out)
One of the greatest blessing God gave me was friends I meet showing cattle!

What is your favorite show outfit?
We all know we have a special shirt or something about a special outfit that makes us feeling amazing when we enter the show ring. Leave us a comment and let us know what yours is....
I actually have a heifer necklace that is made of wire with my favorite heifer's name in it!! I got it on my 18th birthday after winning the Winter Heifer Calf Division at the National Western in Denver, CO. I love that necklace. What's your good luck charm?

Welcome to the Creek Show Stall
I am supposing if you are on this site you are interested in showing cattle. I am sure as you read this site you could get a little entertainment out of the stories I will tell and the truths behind the show ring. However, this site is mainly intended to tell youth how to SHOW!!! I am usually a kind hearted person who would never hurt anyone feelings, but this site is telling it like it is!!!
This site will tell you how to win, but it is not intended to "butter" up your feelings. It gives the straight facts. The things some of your ag. teachers and parents don't want to say because it might hurt your feelings!
I was pushed! I succeeded!! I succeeded because I was pushed! I was pushed because I was loved!!
A special thanks to all my ag. teachers, friends, and parents who helped me along my show career!! Especially to my dad, pushing just runs in the blood..........
